What a fantastic show! There were so many expressions of appreciation of our quilts and our show in general. We can all be very proud.

We have no number as of yet, but with all the people in attendance we were surely a financial success. The vendors were very pleased with the turn out.

We should have some numbers by the November meeting. But rest assured all who participated can feel good about a job well done. If you were unable to participate this time, please think of getting involved for 2009, success is a wonderful feeling.

The winner of the Opportunity Quilt was Sharon Favor. Kaywood Fuqua sold the winning ticket. Sharon was reached by phone right after the drawing and was able to come down and collect her quilt. She was absolutely overjoyed that she had won. What a nice ending to two years of vigorous ticket sales.

Ribbon winners were Betty Sweet: Best of Show, Best Use of Color and Most Innovative; Phyllis Cullen:  Best Art Quilt, Favorite Challenge; Sharon Harris:  Best Traditional
